Full Description
Designed for both beginners and experienced users, the Smokewell Smoker Tube provides a straightforward way to introduce real wood smoke into any cooking setup.
Its square tube design ensures stability during use, preventing movement on grill grates and reducing the risk of pellet spillage when repositioning. Manufactured from durable stainless steel, it offers long-lasting performance across repeated high-temperature cycles.
Available in two sizes, the Smokewell Smoker Tube allows you to tailor smoke duration to suit your cooking method.
Smokewell Smoker Tubes are engineered to deliver consistent smoke output with minimal effort.
The perforated design ensures reliable airflow, allowing pellets to smoulder evenly and produce a steady stream of clean smoke. This controlled burn supports predictable results across both short and extended cooking cycles.
Whether used in a gas grill, charcoal BBQ or pellet grill, the smoker cage provides a reliable method for enhancing flavour without modifying your equipment.
The Smokewell Smoker Tube removes the complexity traditionally associated with smoking food.
No fire management, no specialist smoker required, simply fill with pellets, light, and place on your grill.
This makes it an ideal entry point for beginners, while still delivering the performance and consistency expected by more experienced users.
With minimal setup and consistent results, anyone can achieve authentic smoked flavour with confidence.

Achieve consistent, high-quality smoke in just a few simple steps. The Smokewell Smoker Tube is designed for straightforward operation across all grill types.
Step 1 – Fill the Tube
Fill the smoker tube with your chosen wood pellets, ensuring an even distribution along the full length.
Do not overfill or compress the pellets, as this may restrict airflow and affect combustion performance.
Step 2 – Light the Pellets
Using a blowtorch or suitable ignition source, apply a flame to one end of the tube for approximately 30–60 seconds until the pellets are visibly ignited.
Allow the flame to establish before proceeding.
Step 3 – Establish the Burn
Once ignited, allow the pellets to burn with an open flame for 5–10 minutes.
Blow out the flame to leave the pellets smouldering—this is what produces clean, consistent smoke.
Step 4 – Position in Grill
Place the smoker tube horizontally on the grill grate or heat deflector.
The square tube design prevents movement, ensuring stable positioning during cooking and reducing the risk of pellet spillage.
Step 5 – Begin Smoking
Close the lid of your grill or smoker to allow smoke to circulate.
Maintain airflow within the grill to support consistent smoke generation.
Step 6 – Monitor & Refill (If required)
Depending on the tube size:
- 15cm cage: Suitable for shorter sessions (approx. 1–2 hours)
- 30cm cage: Suitable for extended smoking (approx. 3–5+ hours)
Refill as required for longer cooks once the pellets have fully extinguished.
Step 7 – Allow to Cool
After use, allow the smoker tube to cool completely before handling or storing.
Empty any remaining ash and store in a dry environment.
Pro Tips
- Use different wood pellet types to control flavour intensity
- For cold smoking, place the tube away from direct heat
- Ensure adequate airflow—poor airflow can extinguish the pellets
- Avoid overfilling to maintain consistent burn performance
