Who says you can only have a barbecue if it’s cooked on an actual barbecue? Here at Blazers Fuels we say the complete opposite.
Fire pits can really bring that social experience out. Rather than one person cooking on the side while everyone is socialising and having their drinks, having a fire pit can bring everybody together.
Once you have your fire up to the correct temperature using our Blazers Fuel Logs, here are a few different ways to cook on a fire pit…
Grilling
Some fire pits will come with a grilling grate, however if not you can buy one that will fit over the top. You could also purchase grilling baskets where your guests could all cook their food themselves, freeing you up to enjoy hosting.
Skewering
Skewering is probably one of the most popular methods of cooking on a fire pit. From skewers to roasting marshmallows, the possibilities are endless!
Pot Cooking
There are a variety of recipes that you could cook in a pot over a fire pit, something that couldn’t possibly be one over a BBQ. You could make your very own pot-cooked stew, or even a curry. There are different ways you can pot cook, like purchasing a tripod and letting it hang, or even put your pot directly onto the grill.
Rotisserie Cooking
Sometimes, good things come to those who wait, and that is definitely the case when it comes to rotisserie cooking. It may take a little white to master, however once you get the hang of it, your food will taste delightful.
